Fun Coat and Hat

My mom picked up this pink coat for Elsie since we have lost/misplaced hers.  She also wanted to wear her Thomas hat.

Chest X Ray and Lolly

She was very angry when we had to take it away for the xray.

The Xray was clear, no pneumonia.

Lollipops as cough drops

Elsa has a little cough, and she isn't eating or drinking well. She was enthusiastic about a tootsie roll pop.

New Jammies and Brotherly Affection

Elsa finally stopped wearing car pjs! It's because she wanted to match her brother who was wearing new pjs from Nanny.

She was proud to have her photo taken by the tree and happy to follow directions to hold his hand.

Sick on Christmas

Elsa had a high fever on Christmas Day. She took Tylenol, which helped, and three naps. We were in St. James.

Most of the day was spent in my arms cuddling.

She did eat a Christmas cookie and drink her beloved apple juice. She enjoyed the blanket my mom made her for a gift and played peek a boo under it as her idea. She also really loved the hello kitty color book and cars socks my sister Rachel have her. She claimed the Thomas train knitted cap my sister Jessica made for Daniel, and she played with a little purple train called Rosie for awhile. Mostly she sucked her thumb, wanted to be rocked and hummed along to Christmas carols.

Christmas Morning Play

Elsa got a play food sushi set, a baby doll, and handmade cradle and high chair for Christmas. She spent time in the morning using all three of them. She enjoyed rocking herself in the cradle and her baby, too. She tried to get into the high hair many times, and instantly used it for feeding her doll and monkey some "yummies".

Jammies and Admiration

She was excited to hold hands with her brother when I asked. They wore matching jammies from Nanny.

First Snow of Age One

Elsa experienced snow a little when she was a baby, but this December was her first snow to walk in. She was very exited to see it falling down through the windows. She and Daniel hummed snow songs.

They were eager to get snow gear on. elsa struggled into her boots and mittens with minimal help. She loved them!

She wasn't nervous about walking out in the snow covered grass, like Daniel was at her age. She stomped out and then decided she wanted me to hold her and shelter her from the bitter wind and snow. The photos show her lack of enthusiasms. She did not want to go play outside I the afternoon when her brother did.

New Doll! Christmas Morning Gift.

This Corolle baby doll was Elsa's main gift for Christmas.  She also got a handmade cradle - once mine - and her dad made her a high chair.

Pom Play

Elsa continues to love pom play.  This day she worked on transferring them, sitting in them, dumping them on her head and making it snow, and pretending they were Christmas ornaments for our tree.

"Snow walk! Both kids were more excited about doing it BEFORE we went out in the strong wind and snowflakes. It took ten minutes to get gear on, and we were only out ten minutes before their clothes were soaked! "
