22 Months Old: Bath Love, Nanny Love, and First Pony Tail
I guess early February was a big month for EK... she started to enjoy bath time again. DHH started bathing less frequently, so she didn't have to dash out of the tub to avoid his splashes or grabbiness with toys. She was very interested in water flow, volume, holes, and cause and effect.
Also: bubbles.
My mom came for an overnight visit, and EK asked her to sleep in her room. In her crib, with her. Instead my mom slept on an air mattress in her room. She also played in a blanket fort and read every book in our house to the kids. Elsa loved this time with her, and we used the time to house shop.
I also put a tiny pony into EK's hair, and she liked it pretty well. It was her first bow.

Happy Bath-y
Elsa wants a bath (Baff) everynight. Daniel does not.
Elsa also prefers her baths to be without brother and she screams to get out when he gets in. There isn't a lot of overlap. On this rare occasion they shared their space and the toys and laughed together.

In the Bath.
Sit down, baby!! She hears this a dozen times each bath, and she always complies to the command, only to stand up a few seconds later.
Exploring the toys.
Lying back, enjoying no brother in the bath, but still a little fussy about baths. She likes them less than Daniel ever has, and usually for only about five minutes (which is twenty minutes less than he liked them at this age!)
Photos taken first week of May 2012 - Elsa is 12 months, one week old.

Bath Time Baby!
Elsa is a big fan of her baths, so instead of doing a washrag bath or every other day tub bath, we started to allow her bath time each night, usually right before her brother. She enjoys the water by wiggling and kicking in it. She also cooes and smiles the entire time she's submerged! And by three months, she doesn't mind the temperature of the room after her bath and seems to enjoy her lotion massage and time putting on jammies.
Licking her lips.
Washing her head and torso.
Enjoying backside washing.
Really enjoying submerging in water.
Talking.
Talking with her lips closed!
More singing!
Look how long she's gotten!
Fingers in her mouth, a sign of happiness (except when its a sign of hunger or anger!).
Sucking that fist.
At this point, her brother was desperate to get in the tub, too! She was looking at him throwing a little fit.
More singing!
Talking and kicking feet in water.
Grabbing and holding onto the washcloths.
Seriously adorable!

A Bath Without Brother
You are six weeks old in these photos, and you are bathing alone. Usually your brother wants to help you take a bath, but at this particular time, you threw up later in the evening and needed a scrub and he'd already gone down for the night.
You have become very relaxed in your baths and we thought you looked like you were having fun!

After Your Bath... Cute Photos!
This is the first bath that you enjoyed at about 5 weeks of age. You took the bath with your brother and then snuggled in a large towel. The afghan on the couch was made by your Great Grandma Landolt and was one of our wedding presents. Its hard to tell from the photos, but you were cooing slightly and generally seeming pretty positive about the bathing experience!
