Valentine Day Party

This year we planned and hosted a Valentine Party for a few of the kids' friends.  It was on February 13, and both kids helped plan the party.  They helped choose the food (Capri Suns, cocoa banana muffins) and made the decorations.  

Most of the time was spent eating and playing with toys in the living room.  The  boys ate so many muffins!  EK was happy to have so many people at home to play with, and both children liked that two babies were in attendance.  We planned an art project, but only my kids spent much time making the V day cards.

It was a pleasant time, and I think that it was a good last party to have in our house!

At a Friend's First Birthday Party

Elsa had a really fun afternoon at my friend Laura's son Eli's first birthday party. 

She really enjoyed the food - especially the watermelon and ribs and minty-water.

She really enjoyed the stairs, too.

She commandeered one of the gifts and pushed it all over the house.

Elsa is two weeks older than Eli. She looked at him with such love.  She just loves babies (and small children).  Both children took a nap in the same room at the same time.  When I came in to check on her, she was sitting in the pack and play, chatting across the room to Eli, who was awake and lounging in her crib.  I heard her say HI HI HI HI eeeee babababa over and over, which I think was a greeting to her fellow baby.
