Hot Diggity

Halloween Costume Preview!

Halloween 2011 Preview

They dresses in the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme, since Hot Diggity
was DHH's first phrase!

Baby Carrier Ride Through Cave

Daughter, in this poor quality photo, you can see I am carrying you in
an ErgoBaby Carrier through a small cave on a family hike. You seem
to really like this method of travel, because you are very still and
peek out at the world with curious eyes. Often you fall asleep. Its
like a two hour hug. I, for one, like this time, and I assume you like
it, too.

So Cute Its...

Well, not scary. But maybe so cute would have been unfathomable a
year ago when I could not get up off the couch due to sickness and
Halloween was cancelled?

How about ... So Cute, It Was Worth It... that would be an appropriate
and awesome shirt for her to wear!

Another adorable Halloween shot

I couldn't choose because she's so photogenic! So here is another.

Morning Laughter with Brother

These kids crack each other, themselves, and me up each day!
They like to get cuddly and comfy on my bed after Elsa wakes up there from her morning nap.

A Not So Spooky Skeleton!

Our friends the Hoemanns sent some Halloween jammies for the kids, and Elsa loves to stretch in her zip up pink suit.  Here are some photos taken after her first morning nap!

Chatty Baby!

Tonight Elsa was LOUD.  She was cackling, squealing, sighing, and singing in a very sweet but shrill voice.  She woke up around 8:45 PM and literally didn't stop talking until 11 PM.  It was difficult to feed her because she kept wanting to sing!  It sounds like she is saying a little baaaabaaaa type sounds, but they are still very gurgly.  She won't say mama or dada until she keeps her tongue back into her mouth - its always hanging out so she can blow raspberries!

I cannot imagine a quiet house, not with this little singer and her joke telling brother!

Elsa Everday for October 28

I am trying to teach Elsa the same baby signs communication we used
for Daniel. She is doing "all done", though she probably doesn't
realize it. She was certainly full though after a cup of acorn
squash/potato mash and some plums!

Happy Baby Faces

I feel like Elsa looks so long in these photos!  She is wearing newborn baby legs though, so they are a bit short.  I also took the photo from my perspective sitting in the chair in front of her, so perphaps she is not quite THAT long.

I could not select which photos to include, so I am including all of them!  She's so happy in these and is really talking up a storm.

This is one of my favorite outfits to dress her in, and I'll be sad when she's too large for it!

This is a common current expression... she loves to blow that tongue!

Butternut Squash!

Squash was her first veggie.
You can see from the photos that she enjoyed the experience of eating! She was singing to me and laughing so much I worried she'd wake her brother up from his nap!

Five Months Photo Shoot

Each month I take several shots of Elsa in this chair, trying to get different expressions and a side view.  She is a good supported sitter now and is fascinated by her toes!
